At SIM we are continuously looking at our product processes and packaging to further improve our global footprint. We work closely with responsible suppliers who are actively reducing their waste, and CO2 emissions and offer more environmentally friendly materials. Over the previous years, we have been constantly reviewing our carbon footprint and the changes we can make to reduce our emissions. From delivery logistics to material sourcing, there is not a process that has not been reviewed and revised.
All of our orders from SIM are shipped to you with 100% plastic-free packaging that can be recycled or reused. With cardboard boxes, paper tape and paper bubble wrap, our packaging has been completely updated to reduce our emissions and eliminate the use of plastic.
We use DPD as our main trusted shipping courier who are committed to being net zero by 2040. All of our orders are shipped white label meaning we dispatch without any printed material, sales invoices or branding within your order. This is ideal if you wish to ship directly to your client to avoid re-shipping the order once it arrives with you.
All of our products at SIM are bespoke and handmade using the highest quality material to ensure they last a lifetime.
Genuine Leather
Our leather is sourced from a UK-based company that produces and delivers the material with minimal environmental impact. They are a member of The Sustainable Leather Foundation and only work with waste produced from the food industry which would otherwise go to landfill.
Linen
100% vegan and REACH compliant, our linens are free from any harmful chemicals that could harm the environment ensuring that their sustainability is maintained.
Paper
All our professional printing papers are FSC-approved (Forest Stewardship Council) meaning we meet the council's strict requirements for sustainable printing. You can, therefore, have peace of mind when purchasing our products that you are working with an environmentally conscious company. We make a big effort to discard any paper scraps into the correct recycling bins which are then collected and put into an open loop cycle and recycled into a new product.
Here at SIM, we are invested in offering handmade bespoke products as this artisan method allows us to be more flexible with the customisation options that we can offer. This has continued to further reduce our emissions as our expert team is widely trained to execute production on-site. For example, the leather used for our albums is thinned within our facility and we make our boxes for many of our products. This removes the need for us to source externally which in turn, minimises the impact on the environment.
